22nd International Umpire Course

Dear Grand Masters, Masters, Instructors and Students
It is my great pleasure to invite you to beautiful Vancouver, Canada for the 2016 North American International Qualifying Umpire Course. The course dates are January 23 and January 24, 2016. It will be conducted by Master Alberto Katz – ITF Umpire Committee Chairman, Master Ruben Suarez and Master Kurt Ottesen – ITF Umpire Committee members as well as special guest instructor Grand Master Wim Bos.
The 2016 QIUC will be held at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel. The course is open to all Black Belts. As an added bonus all 3rd degrees who complete the QIUC may request the ITF Official Umpire “A” status at the date they are promoted to 4th degree. For travelers outside of Canada you will find visa information as well as medial insurance requirements on the invitation page.
Please note: In keeping with recent updates to the ITF Umpire Committee alignment program the QIUC is a requirement for all 2nd degree and above umpires interested in umpiring at the 2016 World Cup on Budapest, Hungary and all 4th degree and above umpires interested in umpiring at the 2017 World Championship in Dublin, Ireland.
