Instead\, Black Belts will be grouped into two to four weight classes depending on the number registered and the weight distribution. All Black Belts\, all ages\, including Pre-Juniors and Super Seniors\, who are competing in Free Sparring must have their weight verified at the weigh-ins prior to 2017 ITF Taekwon-Do BC Cup competing. Weigh-in procedure will follow ITF World Junior/Senior Championships procedures. All Black Belts must be within +/- 3kg of their stated weight or they will be disqualified from Free Sparring with no refund of any registration fee. \nWeight checks will be available: \n\nFriday\, May 5th from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the host hotel; and\nSaturday\, May 6th from 8:00AM to 9:00AM at the venue.\n\nCompetitors are encouraged to weigh-in on Friday night so they don’t get caught in the crush on Saturday morning. \n

DESCRIPTION:Dear Instructors\, \nI would like to invite your club to participate in our annual Mini Tournament being held March 14\, 2015 at the Crowsnest Consolidated High School in Crowsnest Pass\, Alberta. The school is located on HWY. 3 between Coleman and Blairmore. \nThis will be a one day tournament starting at 8:30 am and ending around 8:00 pm. Please arrive by 8:00 am to keep this start time. There will be first\, second and thirds\, no one will leave our tournament without a sparring trophy. \nPatterns\nColor belt patterns will be done in a group competition according to belt and first\, second and 2 third place medals will be awarded. Black belt will be done according to degree and first second and third place medals will be awarded. \nDinner\nThere will be a full size lunch/dinner and variety of hot and cold snack foods and drinks onsite. Also\, a raffle table and a 50/50 draw. There will be a $7.00 / no charge for children under 10 at the door for non-competitors. A portion of the door fee will go to our students travelling to the World Cup in Budapest Hungary 2016.

SUMMARY:"Three Kingdoms" Colour Belt Tournament
DESCRIPTION:This event is open to all Colour Belt age 7 and up who are members of the International Taekwon-Do Federation of British Columbia as well as special invited guests. \nThis event will introduce a new tournament format meant to make this competition an accessible\, friendly\, exciting and easy way for Coloured Belts to try the sport aspect of ITF Taekwon-Do. It will allow them to meet other Taekwon-Do students on a non-competitive basis\, make friends and share their passion with others. It will be a very relaxed and fun environment with all competitors having equal opportunities to try their skills. \nCompetitors will be divided randomly into one of 3 teams or “Kingdoms” (Silla\, Baekje or Koguryo). This way each team will have members of all different ages and ranks from all the different dojangs that participate. They will get to know each other\, support each other and cheer each other on in the competition.\nEach competitor will have one patterns match and one sparring match with a member of each of the 2 other teams. That way every competitor gets minimum of 2 sparring matches and 2 patterns matches. \nThe winner of each match will earn points for their team. When all matches are complete\, the team with the most points will be declared the winner. \nAwards\nAll members of the first place team will receive a single large gold medal. Likewise\, the team with the next highest points will be awarded a large silver medal each and the third place team will have all members win a bronze medal. \nAge Divisions\nMinimum age is 7 years old. In competition\, competitors will only face someone of similar age\, rank and\, in sparring\, size for their matches. \nSpecial Bonus Event!\nThe tournament will finish with a “Grand Champion” event that will see each team select and send their “Champion” to compete against the Champion from the other 2 teams. All registered competitors have the opportunity to compete in this bonus event. A large trophy will be awarded to the Grand Champion selected in this exciting event.
